We went to an exhibit at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Anna this weekend and it was AWESOME! I was bummed with the Star Wars one, but this one was amazing because it had so many real stories and artifacts from real archaeological finds! So cool! Also a ton of Indy props and stories about how they came up with the stories they decided to use in the movies, with film footage, and behind the scenes on how they did the effects of shoots. It was so great we spent 2 1/2 hours going through it! There was also this great room where we did a digital dig and had to find artifacts that were hidden in the walls, but were given a map. Tyler loved this and did it two times even though the second time he knew exactly where the six artifacts were :) As we went through we had to solve puzzles like word scrambles or look at a portion of the exhibit and see what was different or missing from the pic that was featured on our screen. As we collected all the pieces it put together a broken ceramic artifact and at the end our completed artifact was put in the Hall of Accomplished Archaeologist! So that is the black screen at the end and the two things with our names are the artifacts we built during it. It was just really well done and I am so glad that we got to do it!!
