2013 is a Big Year!

Pics around Christchurch, New Zealand
There are two seperate slide shows and the descriptions of each are below!! Lots of fun!!
A Lot of Firsts

2013 Has been very exciting and busy!!! We are moving...where to is not exactly determined but our house goes on the market on Monday. EEEK We are most likely moving to New Zealand to help rebuild Christchurch, which was drastically affected by an earthquake in late 2010 and early 2011. We have submitted all our paperwork and are waiting for a job offer with fingers crossed!!! It has also been incredible because Tyler is just so grown up and ready to do grown up things! He had his first hamburger with the bun...not amazing but an accomplishment for us because he is particular about what he eats :)! He had his first foot long hot dog! We took our friends climbing for their first time (Telsche had climbed earlier actually) and had a great weekend with them. Tyler wrote his first Valentine...to Erik. We had a Mardi Gras party in which Tyler had his first physical fight, and his first kiss(on the cheek). Tyler took Kaycee to her first Blue Man Group Concert. On his trip to Texas he helped Nana in the chicken coup for the first time to collect the eggs. He drove Papa Lloyd's golf cart for the first time...and loved it! He went to Mission Control at the NASA center in Houston for the first time. He built a Lego set with no help at all! Lost his first two teeth. (I can't remember the exact dates) He got on a skate board at a science exhibit at the museum, about the physics involved in skating. Really cool! He also thought it was too hard so not interested!! I was happy about  that!! We had our first day of home school on March 4th and we had recess at the park with our friend Logan. He drew a pic of himself playing basketball and dunking! And he read his first chapter book on his own! 72 pages! It took him 4 days! So COOL!!!!

Still our Favorite Place

We have had a couple trips to Disneyland since our Christmas visit. In January, Erik bought his annual pass also so he could enjoy our last few months visiting Tyler's favorite place, before the big move!!! It was Tyler's first question to us when we told him we were going to move to New Zealand. "Is there a Disneyland there?" It took a bit for him to get on board but looking at pics and reading about the non-poisonous spiders and snakes they have there, along with all the mountain biking convinced him he could live there. We did promise that whenever we did come back to visit our first stop would be Disneyland for a couple of days :)!
